Several of you have asked for the recipes for the apple pies.
Ingredients:
1 large container of Grands Biscuits
Apple Sauce
Cinnamon and Sugar
Butter
We gave each child a raw biscuit and allowed them to pull it apart and roll it out. Then take a scoop of applesauce and put in the middle of the biscuit. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar inside. Close the apple pie. (It will look like a taco). Spray butter then sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on the outside. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until biscuit dough is completely cooked. :)
(You can substitute apple pie filling for the applesauce).
Enjoy!

Classroom Directory
It is time to create our classroom directory. I emailed those of you that I have email addresses for this afternoon. I cannot include you in the directory until I have your permission. The directory will include your child's name, parents name, phone number, address, and birthday. Please email me, respond to this post, or send a note to let me know that you want to be included in the directory.
Thanks,
Natalie

Wednesday
Did your little ones tell you that we made apple pies on Friday? They were so good that I made more at home this weekend. I think all of the children enjoyed making and eating them. Thank you to those parents who sent in supplies to make our apple pies.
I hope you all got the papers in the Monday folders yesterday about the story that we have been reading, Mrs. Bindergarten Takes a Field Trip. These papers will come home to let you know when we start a new story in reading. These activities on the pages are for you and your child to work on together at home. It is not something that needs to be returned.
I was in a meeting yesterday afternoon and I was not in the classroom to give the children their folders. There were several papers that did not make it in the folders yesterday. I put them in their backpacks today.
If you are paying for ice cream by the month, don't forget that we have started a new month and you will owe for ice cream again.
Thank you all so much for your continued support!

Snack
We are starting to have a little problem with ants in the classroom. Some of our children are bringing sticky snacks (fruit cups, jello, etc.). These are healthy snacks but we are having lots of spills with these snacks and it is causing an ant problem in the room. If at all possible, please try to stick with finger snacks that I can easily sweep up each day.
Thank you all so much for your help!

Tuesday
Your babies are becoming pros at school! We are learning the rules and classroom expectations so well. Keep looking for those stamps on hands every afternoon. In case you forget: Super star will be a green super star stamp, Green light will be a green flower stamp, yellow light will be a yellow train stamp, and red light will be a red ladybug stamp.
We painted a yellow jacket last week. They look so cute hanging in our classroom. We also made a bucket to hang up in the hallway to remind each of us to strive to be "bucket fillers". I hope you are implementing this at home as well. I have been talking to my four year old son about being a bucket filler. It is really a great concept to teach our children!
Please continue checking your child's Monday folder each week. They will bring home any work they may have done during the week as well as important papers from the school, and homework. We do A LOT of hands on activities in kindergarten so don't be surprised if your child brings home very few "worksheets".
We are in need of treasure box items at school. These can be any small toy from the dollar tree, McDonalds, etc.
I will be sending home notes within the next few weeks to begin scheduling our first conference of the school year.
If you have not purchased a T-Shirt please send your $7.00 in ASAP. We will be ordering the shirts next week and will not be able to order more.
Thanks for all you do to help me everyday!
